This parameter is optional and allows for configuration of the first Wi-Fi radio. This command supersedes the channel, frequency and channelwidth parameters – those parameters will be ignored if they are included with the radio1 parameter. The command format is:
“radio1:capture=<yes/no>|chan=<channel>|chanwidth=<channel width>|hesniffer=<yes/no>|ofdmabssid=<BSSID>|ofdmaclienttype=<aid/mac>|ofdmaclientmac=<MAC address>|ofdmaclientaid=<association ID>” for specification of channel.
or
“radio1:capture=<yes/no>|freq=<frequency>|chanwidth=<channel width>|hesniffer=<yes/no>|ofdmabssid=<BSSID>|ofdmaclienttype=<aid/mac>|ofdmaclientmac=<MAC address>|ofdmaclientaid=<association ID>” for specification of frequency.
where if capture is “yes”, the chan or freq parameter is required; the chanwidth parameter is optional and if omitted, the last configured channel width will be applied. If capture is omitted, “yes” will be assumed. If capture is “no”, capture on the radio will be disabled.
Some limits apply to channel/frequency/channel-width values:
-
For all X240 and X500, X500e or X700 with Wi-Fi 5 license, valid channel/frequency, extension channel and channel widths are limited to the values in the table titled “Wi-Fi 5 Values”
-
For X500e or X700 with a Wi-Fi 7 license, valid channel/frequency, extension channel and channel widths are defined in the tables titled “Wi-Fi 5 Values”, “Wi-Fi 6e Values” and “Wi-Fi 7 Values”
-
Both radios cannot be configured for the same channel/frequency.
Refer to the channelwidth parameter discussion for more information on channel width values.
Some limits apply to the parameters hesniffer, ofdmabssid, ofdmaclienttype, ofdmaclientmac and ofdmaclientaid
-
These parameters are only valid for radio1 of an X500e or X700 with a Wi-Fi 7 license.
-
These parameters are optional.
-
If the value of hesniffer is “no”, parameters ofdmabssid, ofdmaclienttype, ofdmaclientmac and ofdmaclientaid will be ignored.
-
If the value of hesniffer is “yes”, parameters ofdmabssid, ofdmaclienttype, ofdmaclientmac or ofdmaclientaid will be required.
-
If the value of ofdmaclienttype is “aid” the parameter ofdmaclientmac will be ignored.
-
If the value of ofdmaclienttype is “mac” the parameter ofdmaclientaid will be ignored.
The format for BSSID and MAC address is:
“hh:hh:hh:hh:hh:hh”
where ‘h’ represents a hexadecimal digit from the set “0123456789abcdefABCDEF”
Valid association IDs shall be between 1 and 2007.
Example – “CONFIG SETTINGS;IOPARAMETERS;radio1:chan=1|chanwidth=20”
