The Spectrum Export command is sent to the analyzer to export spectrum data for existing spectrum samples. This command does not require capture hardware to be connected. The command format is:
“Spectrum Export;file=<export file path>;[timestampFormat=<timestamp format>;][range=<time range>;][firstTimestamp=<nanoseconds>;][lastTimestamp=<nanoseconds>;][duration=<nanoseconds>;]”
The “file” value represents the name of a file in an accessible location for writing files and has no default.
For “timestampFormat” valid values are:
-
“actual” - write actual timestamps to .csv file; default.
-
“relative” – write relative timestamps to .csv file.
For “range” valid values are:
-
“all” – export entire spectrum file; default.
-
“selected” – export selected time range.
For “timestamp” valid values are:
-
Valid values are from minimum to maximum timestamps in capture file in nanoseconds.
-
if “range“ were set to “all“; “firstTimestamp”, “lastTimestamp“ and “duration” would be ignored.
-
if “range” were set to “selected“:
-
“firstTimestamp” would default to first timestamp in capture file.
-
“lastTimestamp“ would default to last timestamp in capture file.
-
-
if “range” were set to “selected“ and no timestamp nor duration values were specified, it would be equivalent to “range” set to “all”:
-
“firstTimestamp” would default to first timestamp in capture file.
-
“lastTimestamp“ would default to last timestamp in capture file.
-
“duration” would default to the range between first and last timestamps in the spectrum file.
-
The user will get valid time bounds in an error message if any argument for timestamp is incorrect. The user may enter a purposely-wrong command to get the correct time bounds. For example:
”SpectrumExport;file=C:\MyDocuments\MySpectrumExport.csv;range=selected;firstTimestamp = -1”
Examples:
Spectrum Export;file=C:\MyDocuments\MySpectrumExport.csv
Spectrum Export;file=C:\MyDocuments\MySpectrumExport.csv;timestampFormat=actual;range=all
Spectrum Export;file=C:\Exports\MySpectrumExport.csv;timestampFormat=relative;range=selected;firstTimestamp=0;duration=10000
Spectrum Export;file=C:\MyDocuments\MySpectrumExport.csv;timestampFormat=actual;range=selected;firstTimestamp=10000000;lastTimestamp=80000000
