The Scan WiFi command is sent to the datasource to scan Wi-Fi channels for Wireless networks. The scanner scans channels on both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands. The command format is:
“Scan WiFi;<return parameters>”
where a return parameter is required. Valid return parameters are:
-
INLINE – If successful, scan results will be returned as part of the result string, possibly in multiple replies. For SUCCEEDED status, the reason will be dependent on the number of scan results:
-
If there is only one scan result (one device), reason will be like “SCAN WIFI;SUCCEEDED;REASON=<scan result>”
-
If there are multiple scan results (multiple devices), reason will be composed of multiple responses:
-

Where a scan result is of the form:
“{deviceindex=<device index>|macaddress=<MAC address>|ssid=<SSID>|channel=<channel>|frequency=<frequency>|channelwidth=<channel width>|rssi=<RSSI>|centerfrequency=<center frequency>}”
