The Select Analyzer command is used to select an analyzer for live capture. Select Analyzer is a replacement or alternative to the “Start FTS” command.
Only one analyzer can be selected at a time. If an analyzer has already been selected, or a capture file is open, a FAILED response will be returned. A SUCCEEDED response is returned if the analyzer has been successfully selected.
Failure to select the analyzer will result in a FAILED notification response from the server. The failure notification response may or may not be accompanied by a reason parameter.
Command format: “Select Analyzer;<personality key>”
The personality key should be one of the values from the personality/OEM keys table above.
For configurations that include one or more X240 devices, the capture technology should be configured by using the appropriate datasource prior to starting capture via automation. Configuration of capture technology and initiating firmware update are not supported via the automation interface.
