Stop FTS

The Stop FTS command is sent to the analyzer to shut down the analyzer application (if one is running). Only an instance of the analyzer application launched by the client application can be shut down using this command. If no analyzer application was successfully launched, then a failure notification response will be sent from the server. If the attempt to shut down the analyzer application times out, then a failure notification response is sent from the server. The command has an optional parameter, capture file path - the path to save any changes to a file that is open, but that file cannot be overwritten. If the capture file path parameter is omitted, any changes to the open file will be discarded.

The command format is:

“Stop FTS[;<capture file path>”]

If the capture file path is specified, it must be a fully-qualified path and the extension must be “cfax”.

Response: “STOP FTS;<status>[;Reason=<reason>]” where a reason will only be supplied for FAILED status.

For more information related to saving files, please refer to the Save Capture section.
