Air Sniffing: Positioning Devices
When capturing over the air packets, proper positioning of the Frontline hardware and the Devices Under Test (DUTs) will result in the best possible captures and will mitigate sources of path loss and interference. The X500/X500e/X700 uses Antenna Diversity to simplify these issues (see Capturing with Antenna Diversity). Using the Analyzers with Indoor Radio Propagation describes procedures with the X240 to help optimize the capture process especially if you have problems obtaining reliable captures.
